Christmas Concert and Benefit for Joel

| December 4, 2010 | 0 Comments

We hope that you had a great Thanksgiving. Winter weather has hit some of the area pretty hard over the last 24 hours. We know of something that will lift your spirits and help Joel.

Some years ago the pastor and some members of Joel’s church wanted to put together a seasonal concert and open it to the public. Joel talked to the members of his band, Gregg Juke & the Mighty No-Stars, and some friends and put together the band for this event. Over the years some musicians have had to move on and new ones have joined but Gregg, Bruce and Bill (the No-Stars founding drummer) come back for this concert each year. We hope you can take some time out of your busy schedule to relax and enjoy this evening of music.

THE SOUNDS OF CHRISTMAS is a heartwarming evening filled with seasonal songs of Christmas performed by some of the area’s finest professional musicians. There are 3 performances this year in 2 locations. Start time for all 3 concerts is 7:00pm.

Friday, December 10 and Saturday, December 11 we will be at HESS ROAD WESLEYAN CHURCH, 2514 Hess Road, Appleton 14008.

Sunday, December 12 we will be at EAST AURORA WESLEYAN CHURCH, Corner of Main St. and Maple St., East Aurora 14052.

Admission is free. A good will offering will be taken to assist Joel, who was recently diagnosed with Lou Gehrig’s Disease.

We hope to see you there.
